Q: What does “risk-free” ghostwriting mean?

Most ghostwriters are independent contractors, so if something unforeseen occurs in their life, their authors are just out of luck—not to mention the time and money they already invested.

All Wambtac authors work with two ghostwriters—a primary ghost and a team leader. If something unforeseen occurs, Wambtac’s leadership will replace them with an equally qualified, fully trained, CSULB-certified professional ghostwriter as quickly as possible, usually within a day or two.

Your investment is safe. You won’t lose any money or pay more than the agreed-to contract price. And you’ll only have to wait a week or two, at the most, for your new ghostwriter to get up to speed. Then you and your team will finish your book. Together.

Q: What if I’m unhappy with my ghostwriter?

We graduate a new class of fully trained, professional, CSULB-certified ghostwriters every July. If we cannot resolve whatever issue has arisen—sometimes the chemistry just doesn’t work—we will arrange for a someone more suited to your project and personality to step in.

Q: Who is responsible for additional materials such as illustrations, charts, and photographs?

You are.

We may suggest adding tables or illustrations. We’ll incorporate any materials you provide. In fact, we’ll even assist you with MS Word-based objects, if necessary, and can refer you to graphic artists, photo-manipulation artists, and creative artists. But in the end, every idea, chart, and graphic that goes into your book must come from you.

Q: Does my contract include a Table of Contents and an Index?

A Table of Contents is included in all manuscripts. We do not, however, provide indexing.

Q: Do I have to find a copy editor and proofreader?

No, our three-tier editing includes full-team musical line editing, a cold-eye copy editor, and a cold-eye proofreader.

Q: How long do I have to wait to submit to literary agents?

If you want to go the traditional-publishing route, we can prepare the Book Proposal before completing the full manuscript. That way, you can send out query letters as we work on the rest of the book. A front-end book proposal typically takes 10-12 weeks.

Q: How long will it take to ghostwrite my whole book?

While every project is unique, business, self-help, and how-to titles typically take 6 to 8 months. Memoirs and novels usually take 10 to 12 months. We tailor each target deadline to the scope of the work, your availability, your expectations and goals, and any other factors integral to your particular book.

Q: How much does full-manuscript ghostwriting cost?

While we do our best to work within your budget, our fees are based on the individual project, including what you want to do with the finished book. All full-manuscript fees are charged on monthly payment plans.

Q: I have already ghosted a few books. How can I sign up to work through Wambtac Ghostwriters?

Sorry, you can’t. To maintain our risk-free guarantee, all team members must use our proprietary process. Therefore, all our primary ghostwriters and team leaders are CSULB-certified graduates of Ghostwriting Professional Designation Program.
